I think the texture underneath is quite good, you can easily see that it is suppose to be sand. In my eyes i think that it looks quite .. 'realistic' in a game way.
This other texture underneath is the sky .. i don't think the sky looks very realistic if I'm honest, it looks very basic for a game. Especially for a shooting game .. considering shooting games are very popular.
The textures get better and better as the games develop .. which is going to happen. I think the textures underneath are amazing and that they are very high quality .. the actually look like rick and snow.
